Student Honored
Bigfork High School has another talented artist honored by the Governor and the State of Montana! Halisia Hubbard, a sophomore, submitted a piece of artwork to the Signatures from Big Sky magazine and her piece was selected to be displayed in the capitol rotunda during the month of October. We are very proud of Halisia and appreciate the support of the Montana Arts Council in this selection. Her work and others who were chosen can be seen online at www.art.mt.gov soon.

High School News!

The High School art department is busy this year updating our online gallery at artsonia.com, and contributing new entries to this blog.
General Art started the year studying line, and infused color, shape and space to make a three part contour drawing. Stay tuned for pictures as soon as we finish.
Ceramics has begun to fire pieces and plan to work with local artist Treg Miller on the East Side Brick project. We'll be placing ceramic architectural tiles in the basement to enhance the walls and future coffee shop.
Photography class can be spotted around at events and in the school community shooting leading line photos and using homemade pinhole cameras. We're working hard to become familiar with different technology on the camera and computer.
